Just finished building the solid-state twinplex described in Lindsay's book " How to build the Twinplex Regen Receiver". I'm 99 44/100% sure I wired it up right but all I get is what I call back-ground noise, that rushing sound. I'd like to hear from anybody else who has built this radio to get their feed-back.
Thought I heard opera the other night so I musta done something right. My coils are wound as Rocky describes in his book. I haven't started to pull off coils yet to fine tune it but I would expect to hear more than what I am now.
This is how I started with my cigar box crystal set and I eventually got it to work so I do have hope. I'm gonna tear it apart tonight and start over with the wiring. Just maybe there is something wrong with my wiring.
