Mike the antenna used for fm is to short for short wave for short wave you need a antenna that is longer then 3 feet long you need one at lest 40feet qarter wave for 6 mhz or 8 feet for a qarter wave at 28 mhz 10 meters wave lingth or 80 feet half wave for 6 mhz 16 feet for the 10 metters one or you can try the short antenna to see if it workes at all. it is meant by using a couple of turns of wire nere the radio set the radio well pick up the stronger radio wave from the antenna michael
