Hue -- I tend to disagree with your conclusions on this subject. *However*, that's based on nothing more than a little reading and gut feeling. Am arranging some experiments to test the theory, and will advise on what I find.
The only failed experiment is one that returns no results at all. If an experiment returns results, it's a success -- whether or not the results are what you wanted is another story.
