Just a note to follow-up my May 25 statement of frustration with the Lyonodyne I built from plans published recently in Popular Communications.
I recently rewired my set and apparently (and unwittingly) corrected whatever was wrong. I'm still using the crystal earplug from the RS kit, and still using my original antenna, but the set works. I am receiving one local very strongly, but using the tuning cap. and the three switched coil taps (tuning, antenna, detector) I can also receive three other locals, much lower in signal strength, but with little to no interference one with another. It's surprisingly selective! I may now go ahead and add the wave trap to see if any other signals become readable. Give it a try.
