Sounds like you are entering the advanced relm! You need an appropriate circuit to get much benefit from a transformer. I don't know your circuit, but I will give you a general answer. To improve your radio, you need to make it tune sharper. To do that, you need a good tuning coil and you need to reduce the load on the tuner. The transformer will help that. Then as you tune sharper, you will be able to get weaker stations between strong ones, and you will need more sensitivity to hear them. The transformer will help you do that. Congrads, John
