I'm not trying to be aloof, I'm just really slow. Much too slow to write an article for the newsletter (do it, Charlie, DO IT!). My question is about using the earpieces of old telephones for headphones: I've gotten some serious volume using these earpieces(uncomfortably loud). Since I've never used a "real" set of high impedance phones, nor a crystal earpiece, I have nothing to compare my experience with. Can anyone give an account of how the average old telephone earpiece compares with the conventional xtal earplug or those 2000 Ohm headphones from the good old days?
