Speaking of inductance, can anyone tell me why there are so many formulas to compute coil inductance? They all seem to have the same numerator (r^2+N^2), but they all have different denominators. Some only have length, others have 10X length, others have 10x length + 9x something .... Oh I forget all of the variations, but you know what I mean. They all can't be right.
