Larry, When I first saw this posting, there was no name so I thought it was someone trying to "blow solder smoke up ???!!!////, etc." However if you say it works then I'm convinced. I, however was not able to make this work. Did you use a crystal or dynamic earphone? Did it work with the detector in either direction? How did you couple the crystal set to the transistor radio? Was it just sitting very close to the set?
I tried it on the most powerful station I have here with both types of headphones and the detector in either direction. The radio I tried it with has a short external antenna, so I actually loose coupled the two antenna points together. I must be doing something wrong! I think this is a neat phenomenon and would like to see it work. Advice would be appreciated. Mike.
