I'm using insulated 16ga solid copper wire for an antenna. I'm going to move it on my roof for more hieght but the down lead has to "backtrack." Basically I'll be under the center of the antenna. Should I use coax & ground the braid? Should I just run the 16ga to my set? Attach the downlead to a stripped point in the center of the antenna? Ideas are welcome.
