John,I can't believe it works! I went upstairs to my sons room and stole a "phosphor bronze" string off his electric guitar. Two problems solved! I have a "cats wisker" and that guitar is now a little quieter!!!! Not really, he had and old "phosphor bronze" set he gave me and it works great!!! Different strings produce different stiffness ranges.Going to try each one out. I realized the small unwound strings are phosphor bronze plating on steel. Guess I can't use them. Thanks John
