I have collected several of these from telephones from the 70's and (early) 80's. I have a pair fit into a headset that works very well. Unfortunately I don't have a pair of vintage 2k Ohm phones to compare these to, but they stand up pretty well to a new pair of 600 Ohm phones and to the crystal earplugs.
