I have a weak station next to a strong station and I can not hear the weak station on the xtal set until the strong one signs off but I can hear it with my table radio. What is the sharpest a crystal radio can tune? Can some crystal radio circuit get close to separating stations like a table radio?

Your comment about audio xfmrs with center taps grounded having half the impedance as with the tap floating has got me puzzled. Is the grounded spec given for each half of the winding, ie, what each transistor would see in a push-pull circuit? I asked Mouser about this and they were stumped. I am now not sure what impedances I'm really working with on any center tapped windings that I work with. Can you clarify/verify please? Thank you.
