In the XSS news letter, 7/97, is a large article about a person that built a crystal set wired in a door frame. This was a true WW2 spy devise... using the set to listen to London, Paris, and the undeground. (sort of like a super-sized cigar box radio) Also take a look at the project books on the main page. On the cover of one is a modern set that fits in a match box.
