The type of clip is one that I used to put togather single tube recievers. They were made to make quick connections, without having to solder the wires togather. I is a clip that is made of spring brass or steel, plated to prevent corrosion. it has a small half loop in the center and a section cut out to accommidate that loop. Think of a hasp. its the same principle. the main difference is the size and the clip has a spring action. You insert the wire(s) in the loop and release the tension on the clip. It is used fir many things from connecting antennas, to connecting wires to each other plus to crystals, transistors, coils, caps, ect. Fun for experimenters.

Whoah! When did Miller stop making the 6300 series? I just bought a bunch of them last year from Circuit Specialists. If they are truly discontinued, that's bad news for me.
