Current coil has 3100 turns of 28 AWG magnet wire. Armature lifts static load of 8 pds.when coil energized with 16 VDC. Need to double lifting force with same VDC. What size of wire wound to maximum load on the existing bobbin will improve the coil's lifting power?

Bruce, some questions.
1. Do you pick up AM with nothing plugged into the device? 2. Are the cables going into and out of the device shielded? What kind of connectores? 3. If you can run the thing on batteries, do you get AM pickup on battereis? 4. Do you get pickup when the unit is turned off? Unplugged? 5. Is the device a commercially made unit? 6. Is the case for it made of metal, or plastic? 7. Does the amount of AM pickup change with anything? For example do you get more or less pickup when you touch something? 8. What other things can you expain that might help? -Larry
