| SWsenior | Posted - 30 January 2013 7:26     Hey K, As suggested by Garry, I have a list of many stations by frequency only and if news/talk, music, etc. Is it ok to list them say by how close/far they are to where I am located? DX was really good for me and I enjoyed the fun it brought me. I would like to send in my report of stations heard! My simple set isn't anything compared to most of the guys, but like I said, it was very enjoyable DXing. SWsenior |
| homebrew | Posted - 1 February 2013 20:22 Go ahead and list the frequencies and format information. I enjoy a good mystery. If you mark the ID'd stations on a map and go to the internet with the frequency you will probably locate most of the frequencies' ID in or near the pattern laid out. If the format fits you are 90 percent sure that is the station. |

I, for one, think that this is also interesting -- especially since IDing is often difficult. I can always copy more stations than I have the time and patience (and I'm a patient guy!) to ID! " My simple set isn't anything compared to most of the guys . . . . " As I reported a post or two ago, I heard a lot of stations with a single stage Tuggle tuner circuit, 1n34a tapped at 33% and two crystal earphones. No litz, no basketweave, no silver-plated variable and a modest antenna and ground. (This was in addition to my 1AD regen and I only spent part of one evening on this.) Garry |
